CREATION: The Origin of Sin
(Study 1-B)

From our first study, we find that all things were created by Yah, and that at their completion, they were all "very good." (Gen 1:31) We find a creature made in the image of the Creator, even called His son, (Luke 3:38) who could appreciate the perfection and beauty of the newly-formed universe.

We even find a day, the seventh of the set, called "blessed" and "sanctified" (set apart) upon which God and man rested, and celebrated everything that was.

But this is only the beginning. Elsewhere in the universe, the seeds of unrest sown even before the unfolding of these blissful scenes, events were taking place which would soon affect man, the earth, and all of Creation. Mankind was created in the image of God, but he was not the FIRST intelligent creature the Father made. One of the greatest gifts Yah gave to both angel and man was the limitless blessing of "free will," and this freedom was about to be tested.

What is "sin?" Why do bad things happen in a universe created by a perfect God? Why was there a restriction placed upon Adam and Eve at all - why was their obedience so important - and what was Yah trying to demonstrate by this? What is responsible, basically, for every thing that is not declared to be "very good?" The answer to these questions are found in the Scriptures.
