ISRAEL THE NATION: On The Borders of Canaan
(Study 2-G)

Not only Moses, but also an entire tribe of priests was elected to fill the spiritual needs of the emerging nation. The people believed themselves now able to go up and to fulfill the purpose that Yah had called them for.

It seemed that all was going quite well, for the Egyptians were slain behind them, the visible presence of the Lord was with them, and they had received the mighty commandments of the Father, pillars of His character that would educate and lead the people closer to an understanding of who He was. (Psalms 19:7)

Before too long, the travelers came upon the land that they were promised as an inheritance - a wonderful and fertile country that they had been looking forward to since the days of Abraham. But even here, at the very borders of Canaan, Satan was at work to keep the people of Israel from peace.
