ISRAEL THE EARTHLY KINGDOM: Judah & The Babylonian Exile
(Study 3-G)

And so we have become aware of the history of the "lost tribes of Israel." What became of them during their sojourn in Assyria? There are various theories, but the Biblical record is silent on this matter. Our attention now turns to the tribe of Judah in the south; and Jerusalem, the once proud stronghold of king David.

It is from this group of people, the remnant of the earthly kingdom, that our Messiah would come forth, (Heb 7:14) but much would become of them before the conditions were right for such an event.

Judah also would be warned repeatedly by prophets, but like it's brother to the north, would need a stern lesson indeed before it was ready to again taste a portion of the freedom to which it had originally and gloriously been called. This is the freedom that still awaits all of Yah's children.
